Michael: “There was always this feeling, post Python, that we kept an eye on whatever anyone else was doing. And in one despicable corner of our being wanting them all to fail. You know, for some reason it was just like…I don’t know, it was like a marriage ending and you didn’t want one of the partners to go off and find somebody else. Eww no, you know.”

John: “Oh, I think there was a sort of sibling rivalry between the Pythons. I don’t think anyone wanted anyone else to fail, but they would probably preferred it if nobody did anything TOO brilliant. *laughs* You know what I mean? We wanted our friends to be successful, but not…*laughs* overwhelmingly successful.”
